This type of polymers can be synthesized or artificially created by man in the lab. They are commercially produced in large quantities to satisfy man's needs. One of the most common synthetic polymers that we use almost every day includes plastic bags.
Synthetic polymers include most of today's plastic materials that one can encounter in their day-to-day life such as plastics used in cars, mobile phones, electrical appliances, packaging material etc. These include polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and etc.
We at Morgann, our reprocess specialization is mainly on top three highly usable plastic products, which are Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and Polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
Polypropylene Resin (PP Resin)
Polypropylene, abbreviated as PP, is a recyclable thermoplastic polymer widely used in many different products. PP is rugged and resistant to different chemical solvents, acids, and bases. PP’s resin identification code is 5, and it is recyclable.
At Morgann our repro process involves five steps namely collection, sorting, crushing and cleaning, reprocessing by melting and producing new products from recycled PP. So, the first three steps are the same as recycling most other commodities. But the last two are critical. In the reprocessing phase, collected PP products are fed into an extruder where it is melted at 4,640 °F (2,400 °C) and cut into granules. These pellets are then ready for use in the production of new products.
Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)
PET (also abbreviated PETE) is short for Polyethylene Terephthalate, the chemical name for polyester.
PET is a clear, strong, and lightweight plastic that is widely used for packaging foods and beverages, especially convenience-sized soft drinks, juices and water. Virtually all single-serving and 2-liter bottles of carbonated soft drinks and water sold are made from PET.
PET recycle identification code is 1, and it is recyclable.
At Morgann, we produce clean and high-quality repro PET in shredded / flakes form instead of resin. It will be packed in the form of Jumbo bag as per our standard requirement.
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
Polyvinyl Chloride or PVC is the third-most majorly produced plastics after Polyethylene and Polypropylene. It is mostly used for construction purposes because it is known for being strong, sturdy and economical. It is considered as an alternative instead of iron or steel. Apart from this, PVC is also used in the clothing and electric cable industry.
PVC plastic recycle identification code is 3, and it is recyclable.
Our PVC repro is in original electric cable form and shredded instead of resin. We will apply two stages of process which is segregation and cleaning. Final process It will be packed in Jumbo bag as per our standard requirement.
